Do I need to soak these first?

No. Unlike bamboo, the metal prongs handle direct high heat straight away, so you can load them and set them over the coals with no preparation at all.

What can I cook on them?

Chicken, steak cubes, sausages, shrimp, scallops and firm vegetables all work. The three prong layout suits anything that would spin or slide around on a single rod.

How long are the prongs?

Each prong runs about nine inches, which holds a generous serving for one person while still fitting comfortably across a standard grill grate with room either side.

How does the release work?

A slider along the handle pushes the food down and off the prongs. One motion clears all three at once, straight onto the plate and away from the heat.

Can it go in the dishwasher?
