How long does the charge last?

Eight hours of continuous light per charge, over a standard USB cable. Running it on the lower of the two brightness settings is the way to get through a long night comfortably.

Is it bright enough to read by?

It has two brightness levels and both are on the gentle side, since it is built as a night light and a decorative piece. For sustained reading a dedicated task lamp is a better fit.

Does it get hot?

The LEDs stay cool, so it can sit on a nightstand near a child or a pet without the heat a bulb gives off. It is still an electronic item rather than a toy.

Can I change the color of the light?

No. It gives a single warm glow with two brightness levels, adjusted by the push button. If you want color changing modes or a cool white option, this is the wrong lamp for that.

How delicate is it?
