What do I put in the bottle?

Simple bait such as apple cider vinegar works, and no chemicals are required. The funnel does the trapping, so the bait only has to be something the flies want to reach.

Will it fit my bottles?

The funnels are made to fit most standard bottles, which covers a typical soda or vinegar bottle. An unusually wide or narrow neck may not seat well, so check before setting up a row of them.

How do I clean them?

They are food grade silicone and washable, so a rinse with warm soapy water gets them ready for reuse. Let them dry fully before putting the next bait bottle together.

Does it get rid of an infestation on its own?

It catches the flies that come to the bait, which brings numbers down over days rather than instantly. Removing the overripe fruit or damp drain that drew them in still does the bigger share of the work.

Is it safe around food and pets?

It is a chemical free approach using food grade silicone, so nothing is sprayed near your counters. The bait itself is just vinegar, though it is still worth placing bottles where a curious pet cannot knock them over.
