DESCRIPTION

Cheap tongs fail in the same two ways: they lose their grip and they hand you the heat. These solve both. Spring-loaded arms open and close under gentle pressure, applying consistent force every time you squeeze, so a steak gets turned when you decide to turn it and not a moment before it slides off.

The tips are shaped to grip across a wide range of food, from a sprig of herbs or a single asparagus spear up to a whole roast being lifted out of a pan. That range is what makes a single pair genuinely useful: flipping and searing at the stove, tossing and plating salad, pulling roasted vegetables off a hot tray, and serving straight to the table.

They are made from kitchen-safe stainless steel that resists rust and shrugs off high heat, so grill work does not damage them and they come out of a hot pan unchanged. The weight is light enough that a long session of cooking does not tire your hand, and the smooth steel wipes down easily. Use dry hands and a cloth or mitt when working over direct heat. Hang them from a rail or drop them in a utensil crock; either way, they become the pair you reach for first.

  • Material: kitchen-safe stainless steel
  • Action: spring-loaded arms for consistent pressure
  • Tips: shaped to grip small and large foods
  • Heat: suitable for grill and stovetop use
  • Weight: light enough for extended use
  • Care: rust resistant, wipes clean

Grip You Can Trust

Grip You Can Trust

The spring loaded arms push back evenly, so a steak turns exactly when you want it to instead of sliding out halfway across a hot pan.

From Herbs To Roasts

From Herbs To Roasts

Scalloped tips close on something as fine as a sprig of thyme and still hold a whole chicken leg steady on its way from the tray to the plate.

Built For The Long Run

Built For The Long Run

Stainless steel takes grill heat, dishwasher cycles and years of daily service without bending at the joint or discoloring around the tips.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are they safe for non stick pans?

Use a light touch on non stick surfaces, or a silicone tipped setting where available. On cast iron, stainless steel and the grill, these tips are entirely at home.

How long are they?

They give enough reach to work over a hot grill or into a deep stock pot while keeping your hand clear of the heat and any spitting oil.

Do they lock shut?

Yes. A pull ring locks the arms closed so they store flat in a drawer or hang neatly on a rail instead of springing open among your other tools.

Can they go in the dishwasher?

They can. Stainless steel comes out clean and free of spots, although an occasional hand wash keeps the spring mechanism moving smoothly over many years of use.

Will they handle heavy food?

Yes. The arms are stiff enough to lift a full roast or a stack of ribs without flexing, which is what separates these from thin supermarket tongs.

GOOD TO KNOW

APPEEL

HOW WE CHOOSE PRODUCTS

Three questions decide whether something makes the range. Does it work, meaning it solves a real problem in the home rather than adding another gadget to a drawer. Is it simple, meaning you can set it up and use it without a manual. Will it last, meaning the materials and the build hold up to daily use. If a product fails any of the three, we leave it out.

USING IT SAFELY

Everything here is made for ordinary household use. Follow the instructions that come in the box, keep small parts, magnets and batteries away from young children and pets, and use electrical items with the power source they were supplied with. Anything that fixes to a wall, ceiling or door needs a suitable surface and the right fittings, and the hold is worth checking now and then.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY

If you want a measurement we have not listed, or you are not sure an item suits what you have in mind, email support@appeel.org and a person will reply within one business day. We would rather answer the question than have you order the wrong thing.
