Light When Something Moves

Light When Something Moves

The sensor picks up people, animals and vehicles and switches on the light for you, which is the difference between finding a switch in the dark and simply walking in.

Point It Where You Need

Point It Where You Need

A 360 degree rotating base aims the 450 lumen beam at a step, a doorway or the back of a closet, so the light lands where you are going rather than on the ceiling.

Sticks Up In Minutes

Sticks Up In Minutes

Self adhesive tape comes in the box, so mounting it takes no drilling and no wiring. Weather resistant casing means an outdoor step or a shed wall is as workable as a hallway.

Frequently Asked Questions

How bright is it?

450 lumens, which is enough to light a doorway, a stairwell or a storage area clearly. It is a directional lamp rather than a floodlight, so it lights where it is pointed and not much else.

How long does it stay on?

Thirty seconds after it detects movement, then it shuts off on its own. That is fine for passing through and short for standing still, so expect it to relight if you linger.

What batteries does it take?

It runs on AA batteries, which are not included, so pick some up before you mount it. Battery power is what keeps installation free of wiring, and it is the trade you make.

Can I use it outdoors?

It is waterproof and built for varying seasonal conditions, so a porch, a shed or a side path all work. Adhesive tape holds better on a clean, dry surface, so mount it in dry weather.

How long will the LED last?

The LED is rated for over 100,000 hours, which is far longer than the batteries driving it. In practice you will be changing AAs long before the light itself gives out.

GOOD TO KNOW

APPEEL
HOW WE CHOOSE PRODUCTS

Three questions decide whether something makes the range. Does it work, meaning it solves a real problem in the home rather than adding another gadget to a drawer. Is it simple, meaning you can set it up and use it without a manual. Will it last, meaning the materials and the build hold up to daily use. If a product fails any of the three, we leave it out.
USING IT SAFELY

Everything here is made for ordinary household use. Follow the instructions that come in the box, keep small parts, magnets and batteries away from young children and pets, and use electrical items with the power source they were supplied with. Anything that fixes to a wall, ceiling or door needs a suitable surface and the right fittings, and the hold is worth checking now and then.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY

If you want a measurement we have not listed, or you are not sure an item suits what you have in mind, email support@appeel.org and a person will reply within one business day. We would rather answer the question than have you order the wrong thing.
