When should I dethatch?

Early in the growing season, when the grass is actively recovering, gives the best result. A dry day makes the dead layer lift far more easily than a wet one.

Will it damage healthy grass?

Used with steady pressure it pulls the dead layer out and leaves rooted grass in place. Working in one direction at a time keeps you from tearing at live turf.

How long is the handle?

It is built for long reach, so an adult can work standing upright with both hands and no stooping. That is what makes a large lawn manageable in one go.

Does it work on moss as well?
