Do I need an electrician to install it?

It requires hardwired ceiling installation, so it connects to house wiring rather than plugging in. If you are not comfortable working at a ceiling box, this is a job worth handing to an electrician.

What bulb does it take?

A G9 base, one bulb only. You can run an LED up to 6W or an incandescent up to 60W, and no bulb is listed among the included parts, so plan to supply your own.

Can I put it on a dimmer?

No. The fixture is listed as not dimmable, so a dimmer switch is not the right pairing for it. Brightness is set by the bulb you choose within the 6W LED or 60W incandescent limit.

Will it work on a sloped ceiling?

Yes, it is designed to fit both flat and sloped ceilings, and the stabilizer rod on the cord helps it hang straight. The cord length caps at 59 inches, which sets how far down it can reach.
