DESCRIPTION

Frying at home usually means dealing with the oil afterward, and that is the part this pot is designed around. It combines a deep frying vessel with a large built-in filter net, so straining used oil happens right in the pot instead of over a sink with a funnel, a sieve, and a second container balanced in one hand. Depth helps here too, since a taller vessel keeps hot oil well below the rim while food goes in.

Lift the strainer and the residue stays behind while clean oil settles below, ready to be poured off and used again. That saves you oil across a run of meals and spares your counters the spills that come with transferring hot liquid between containers. Everything happens in one vessel, which is also why there is so little to wash when you are done.

The stainless steel body handles the heat of deep frying and stays easy to clean, while the heat-resistant handle gives you a secure hold when the pot is full. Straight sides help contain splatter while food cooks, so the stovetop stays cleaner as well. It is versatile enough for frying chicken, fries, dumplings, and tempura, and it works as a regular deep pot for soups or boiling. Let the oil cool completely before straining, moving, or cleaning the pot.

  • Material: stainless steel body
  • Built-in large filter net for straining oil

Straining Without The Juggling

Straining Without The Juggling

A large filter net is built into the pot, so used oil gets strained where it already is instead of over a sink with a funnel, a sieve and a second container balanced in one hand.

Oil You Can Use Again

Oil You Can Use Again

Lift the strainer and residue stays behind while clean oil settles below, ready to pour off for the next meal. That saves oil across a run of dinners and spares the counter the usual spills.

Built For Deep Frying

Built For Deep Frying

The stainless steel body takes frying heat and wipes clean afterward, the handle is heat resistant for a secure hold when the pot is full, and straight sides keep splatter off the cooktop.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I strain the oil?

Let the oil cool completely first, then lift the built-in filter net so residue comes up with it and clean oil stays below. From there you pour it off into whatever you keep oil in.

Can I use it for anything besides frying?

Yes. It works as an ordinary deep pot for soups or for boiling, so it is not a single-purpose piece sitting in the back of a cabinet between fry nights.

Is it hard to clean after frying?

The interior is smooth, so it wipes and washes clean rather than holding burnt residue, and because everything happens in one vessel there is little else to wash. Wait until the oil is fully cool before you start.

What can I fry in it?

Chicken, fries, dumplings and tempura all suit the depth and the straight sides. Large single items can crowd the pot, and a crowded pot is what leaves food greasy instead of crisp, so work in batches.

Does the handle get hot?

The handle is heat resistant, which is what lets you lift a loaded pot without wrapping a towel around your hand. The stainless steel body itself is hot during and after frying, so treat everything except the handle as hot until it cools.

GOOD TO KNOW

APPEEL

HOW WE CHOOSE PRODUCTS

Three questions decide whether something makes the range. Does it work, meaning it solves a real problem in the home rather than adding another gadget to a drawer. Is it simple, meaning you can set it up and use it without a manual. Will it last, meaning the materials and the build hold up to daily use. If a product fails any of the three, we leave it out.

USING IT SAFELY

Everything here is made for ordinary household use. Follow the instructions that come in the box, keep small parts, magnets and batteries away from young children and pets, and use electrical items with the power source they were supplied with. Anything that fixes to a wall, ceiling or door needs a suitable surface and the right fittings, and the hold is worth checking now and then.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY

If you want a measurement we have not listed, or you are not sure an item suits what you have in mind, email support@appeel.org and a person will reply within one business day. We would rather answer the question than have you order the wrong thing.
